A coastal retreat shaped by wind, horizon and changing light, with robust natural materials chosen to age well. The design was developed as a complete architectural and interior response, with structure, joinery, lighting and material choices considered together.
Rather than chase a single dramatic gesture, the project focuses on proportion, natural light and a sequence of spaces that work differently throughout the day.
Material language
Quiet materials, used with confidence.
Warm timber, mineral surfaces and restrained colour create depth without visual noise. Details are deliberately simple so texture, light and daily use can give the rooms character over time.
